John and I went and spent a LOOOONNNGGGG day outside the other day which started at the splash pad/park near our house (which is free by the way...still can't get over that) and ended with a really long walk all over Ormond Beach (also still can't get over all of the sidewalks here)!
Foggy camera, cute baby.
His very favorite thing at the splash pad!
the cuteness...it's too much.
Caught a pouty face on camera.
This kid is a world class climber these days. It gives me a stroke every time!
Saturday we decided to check out the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet which is about 30 minutes or so from our house. It is also known for it's surfing (and shark attacks). It's a very small place, but John loved it. He especially loved the bird rehabilition section of it.
Oh! And you have to love when your child is old enough to insist on picking out his own clothes. This was John's outfit that he really wanted to wear. It could be worse though. He does match.
Meeting a giant hermit crab!
Where's John?!
Petting the stingrays!
A little picnic at the lighthouse park in Ponce Inlet!
And a reluctant Matt helping John climb the tree.
And here we are by the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse!
The one thing about moving is that you can play tourist in your own town which is kind of fun! Hopefully checking another new thing or two off the list this weekend. And of course, we'll be at the beach soon. My "surfer man" (as John says) husband tells me the waves are going to be amazing this week.
Adorable.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: what kind of camera do you have? Can you email me at hjoyskaggs@gmail.com and let me know?
Thanks, m'am! Have fun playing tourist! Looks like there is lots to do.
