Sweet John has been having to just roll with the punches this week as I attempt to get our life back to normal as much as possible.
Monday was full of laundry, cleaning, and car problems. We got home very late Sunday night and found that Matt's car had a flat tire. It was not exactly what we wanted to see when we rolled in the drive way, but what can you do? John slept the majority of this day because he was as tired as I felt! Big guy took a FIVE hour nap and still went to bed at his normal time.
Tuesday we ventured back to the car place (spent some time there with my car before the trip to MS) to get Matt's tire checked out. This turned out to be an all day affair which resulted in four new tires and another trip back tomorrow for some other work. ICK!
The upside was that John got an awesome pirate tshirt in the mail from Nonny and Poppy which kept his spirits up all day!
He also got his favorite treat, a chocolate milkshake, for being such a good boy!
And they hung this picture that he colored up in the shop! My budding artist.
Wednesday needed to be a grocery shopping day, but I thought it was only fair to let the morning be devoted to something that John wanted to do. Of course, he chose "waterfall park."
Following the leader!
Trying to pick a banana.
Stopping for a snack. That is some spirited eating is it not?
The waterfall of "waterfall park."
John and I noticed an extraordinary amount of tadpoles swimming around so we decided to go home and look up some information about tad poles and how they became frogs. He was so interested in this topic.
Just working on our latest word...metamorphosis, of course.
And today we dropped by Publix for some much needed blueberries that Walmart didn't have, and John just insisted that we buy these flowers for daddy. Luckily, I was able to distract him without purchasing the $12 flowers, but it was a sweet thought anyway.
The rest of the morning was spent at Rainbow Park with some of John's favorite buds. All in all, it's been a great week of settling back into home life!
And that's what John is doing this Wednesday! Back to the car place this afternoon and tomorrow! Pray for us. ;)
