Grace For The Ordinary: 22 months!

Our John David is now a whopping 22 months old and getting funnier by the day! If anything has emerged this month, it is his sense of humor. He's always been funny, but recently, he's got an even better idea of what things adults find funny. For example, yesterday he said "hurt mama!" I asked him what was hurting and he said "my little booty," and then laughed his head off because he knew that was a funny thing to say.

At 22 months, he's talking more and more everyday! He is putting together such great sentences. Yesterday he said "daddy take a bath?" And he surprises me with sentences like these all of the time. His very favorite words at the moment are:

1. trash truck
2. big truck
3. garage door openininininin
4. garage door close
5. beach fun!
6. surfer man
7. watch trains
8. Yuck!

His appetite hasn't been great this month so no new foods to report on. He did seem to enjoy Chipotle as much as his father though so there will be many more burritos in my future I imagine.

Poor baby has been working on his eye teeth for months! I can finally see two little break through spots on the top, but none on the bottom. These teeth have been the worst by far. It's also the first time that he's ever been able to communicate pain to me so occassionally when I can tell he's irritable, he'll say in that pitiful way that tears your heart, "teeth hurt mama."

This month was consumed with lots of change for John and he seems to be adjusting well. He's definitely a little more introverted and seems to take a bit longer to warm up to new people (and they're all new people at the moment!), but for the most part, he seems happy.
