Easter 2013!

Tuesday, April 2, 2013

Somehow Easter seems to be the holiday that Matt ends up having to work.  I can't complain too much because getting to have your intern husband home on Thanksgiving and Christmas is amazing, but this was the second year in a row that Matt had to work on Easter.  We managed to squeeze in some family time and some fun regardless.

On Good Friday, John had a few friends over for an Easter egg hunt.  It's always fun to get the toddlers  together, and it never fails to be a wild time.  Two year olds hunting eggs doesn't take long because they all get distracted really quickly.

Emma just kept pointing at this egg.  She didn't want to pick it up from the potty.  Love a girl!

Action shot.  John on the move!

And we lost one to the trash truck. Sweet Noah was in love with this toy.

And another one to the tricycle.

John never stopped until the eggs were (mostly) gone though.  He knew there was candy in some of them so he was pretty motivated!

Saturday we spent some time dying Easter eggs for the first time.  John thought it was the greatest thing ever, but our finished products were pretty pitiful.  Most of our eggs were cracked and pink.  Not sure how the pink thing happened?

The only egg that didn't crack.  He's checking out his name written on it,

 Checking out his Easter loot!

Mom and dad got some goodies as well! Yummm!

Luckily our church had a Sunday afternoon mass so we were able to go to mass as a family when Matt got off of work.  This was big boy after church.  So grown...

Cheese!!

More cheese!!!

And we were lucky enough to get a family shot after mass!

Hope each of you had a lovely and holy Easter!!

We were lucky enough to have the McCormicks come late Easter Sunday to stay for a few days! Hopefully some good pics and a post from their visit to follow!
